Renewable Energy: Solar Panel
In today’s modern era, the need of sustainable energy has become crucial in daily routine. Alternative energy is emerging as the ultimate solution to overcome
In the world of Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation on industry, there is a term called integration system. It refers to the interconnection and coordination of various electrical systems to create an efficient infrastructure. What’s being interconnected can be vary depending on the specific application and industry sector, but generally, integration involves bringing together different elements to achieve better control and management of electrical systems. However, there are several examples of the key aspects of system integration in the industry.
The first aspect that will be found in the industry is an automation control and system. The concept of this system is to achieve better automation processes, monitoring, and control. One example of the system is called Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). SCADA has the ability to automate the control of a generator using pre-programmed control logic and predetermined rules by the Dispatcher. Thus, SCADA can integrate with an electric device such as a power generator to measure important parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, temperature, and pressure. By integrating SCADA automation systems into generator operations, the company can optimize generator performance, increase power supply reliability, detect problems quickly, and efficiently respond if there are any changes in operating conditions.
The second aspect that is also often found in the industry is Safety and Emergency System. This integrated system combines safety and emergency systems, such as fire detection and suppression systems, emergency lighting, as well as interlocks. For example, in an area that has hazardous electrical equipment, automatic suppression systems use high-density gasses (such as FM-200 or Novec 1230 gas) that are safe for the equipment and the environment. When sensors detect fire or overheating, the gas is activated and extinguishes the heat source by reducing the oxygen concentration and numbing the area. These systems are integrated to ensure timely response and effective operations during critical situations which ultimately improve worker safety, and protect company assets.
All in all, in the industry system, integration connects and coordinates various electrical systems to increase efficiency of mechanism. This integrated system underscores the importance of carrying out system integration in improving the performance and safety of electrical operations. To sum up, integration plays a critical role in establishing a robust and responsive electricity infrastructure.

SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is a system used to monitor and control devices remotely, so SCADA is often utilized as an industrial facility.
MEI stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument. It is an acronym used to describe three main focuses that are involved in various engineering projects, construction, maintenance, and operation of industrial facilities and infrastructure.
