Maintenance, Repair & Operation (MRO) Gas Transportation Module (GTM)

Gas Transportation Module (GTM) is one of the types to deliver the CNG from the Mother Station to the Customer. There are three procedures such as Maintenance, Repair, and Operation that should be done to keep the effectiveness so that the machine can work properly. Furthermore, it is important to carry out these procedures intensively in a certain interval of time to prevent interferences in the machine. How does those procedures work? Here is the explanation.

The first procedure is Maintenance. This procedure will be implemented regularly to maintain the condition and performance of GTM. Usually, the industry will inspect all the GTM systems such as CNG storage cylinders, compression systems, valves, and other equipments in order to prevent the performance degradation. In addition, checking the gas leaks is also necessary to ensure safety and reliability of the system operation.  In some cases, damaged parts that cannot be fixed will be replace with the new ones.

The second procedure for GTM is Repair. In case there will be damage or interference in the system, this repair procedure will be carried out. To understand the damage, checking the part or components is the first step to take. After that, replace or repair the components that have been diagnosed as damaged or not working properly. Re-check the machine is very essential to ensure that the machine operates properly.

The last procedure is Operation which is the comprehensive maintenance and replacement of the entire GTM system. This maintenance will be done at certain time intervals or after a certain amount of machine use in order to prevent damage to the system or machine. If the component is already past its service life cycle, it is a must to have comprehensive maintenance and replace the component. Adjusting and optimizing the system at the end of the process is also recommended to operate at high efficiency.

To deliver the CNG to the customer the industry used mobile units. The CNG are usually mounted on trailers or trucks, and equipped with CNG storage cylinders, compression equipment, and dispensing capabilities called Gas Transportation Module (GTM). Moreover, It is essential to regularly implemented these procedures to maintain the effectivenes of GTM system.
